Multipower 53% Protein Bar Review

Multipower 53% Protein Bar

I was recently sent some samples of the Multipower 53% protein bar to review. As a general rule, I find most of the protein bars on the market to be tasteless and have the texture of compressed sawdust.

I don’t understand why manufacturers don’t put the actual eating experience before the other aspects of the bar – otherwise why would you buy? Nobody wants to eat something that tastes like crap.

Are these the same though? Let’s find out….

Multipower 53% Protein Bar Review

Thankfully, no. These Multipower 53% protein bars are different. First of all, they don’t have that dense, dry texture. The texture is more akin to noughat, which makes them way more appealing than most others.

The name – it’s not snappy, but it’s certainly descriptive. The bars contain 53% protein, which is higher than most other protein bars on the market. Additionally, they contain only 210 calories per bar so aren’t going to destroy your diet.

My personal training client Hannah gave me a good tip – stick them in the microwave for 5-10 seconds and they go nice and soft, making them a nice gooey texture! The result is great, making them more like a chocolate bar than a protein bar!

I tried the cookies and cream, coconut, berry, and chocolate flavours and found them all to be pretty good. If pushed for a favourite, I’d probably go for the berry ones. I liked the sweetness from the berries in the bar, plus I find that chocolate ‘flavoured’ things are never as good as the real deal!
