Why Some People Choose CBD Capsules

Lately, we are seeing a lot of first-time CBD users who are curious to know more about the various forms of CBD products. While Hemp oil remains the most popular and often-used form of Cannabidiol, they have all kinds of competition. One of the other contenders is the humble CBD capsule. This is just a gel cap that has been filled with CBD oil and is, therefore, a very simple modification of the base product.

Because it isn’t really all that different from the common CBD oils, one might question why a person would bother with capsules? After all, it is slightly more expensive to purchase your CBD in this way. In spite of that, we can see that many people are choosing to use capsules anyway, and here are the main reasons that have been given:

Reason #1: Consistent Dosage

CBD oil is very versatile, but many people have trouble figuring out how much they should take at one time. While a lot of people are willing to do their research and experiment until they find the right dosage, there are also a lot of people who don’t have time for that. Also, measuring oil can be a little bit annoying. It is thick and viscous and wants to stick to any container into which it is placed. This means that it cannot change containers without some loss of material. Because of this factor, the use of a small measuring glass is not practical. Such a thing would be practical for a liquid, of course.

Anyway, the bottom line is this: The use of capsules eliminate all the factors outlined above. Instead, you can just grab a cap or two from a bottle, swallow them down, and go about your business. This is also good from a safety standpoint, although CBD does not present any real safety hazards in the first place.

Reason #2: Convenience

This is definitely the most cited reason for the use of capsules. When it comes to convenience, this method simply cannot be beaten. Let’s compare them to other common methods of CBD consumption to understand why that is the case. First, let’s consider the smoking of Hemp flowers. A lot of the CBD is lost during combustion, forcing you to consume more for the same effect. Also, there are many places where you cannot smoke, and some people might even give you trouble because they will think you are smoking Marijuana.

When compared to oil, the capsules are a lot more convenient for the reason already mentioned above: No measurement is needed. CBD isolates are usually purchased in a powdered form, so they will also require measuring. Because the isolate is measured by weight rather than volume, it will be easier to weigh than the oil, but it still represents extra time and trouble. It is not realistic to prepare all of this on the go, but capsules offer a much greater degree of portability.

Finally, we come to vaping. The problem here is that the CBD has to be mixed with certain chemicals in order to work in a standard vape device. Even though those chemicals are not known to be dangerous, the purity of the CBD will be reduced. Besides, those vape cartridges are significantly more expensive than capsules.

Reason #3: Lack Of Taste

Although this is a subjective matter, there are a lot of people who simply do not care for the taste of Cannabis. This is understandable, as everyone has different taste preferences, but it does present a problem for most forms of CBD. Most of them have (at least) a mildly strong taste that is very reminiscent of the source plant. Capsules, of course, do not present that problem. Because you swallow them whole, you will never taste the contents at all.

Reason #4: Customization

There are certain products that have combined CBD oil with other types of medicine. This allows the capsule to have multiple effects from a single, convenient dose. For those who use more than one type of medication anyway, this is another plus offered by capsules. For instance, you can get CBD capsules that also contain aspirin or acetaminophen for those who suffer from frequent headaches. Because CBD is also a mild pain reliever, we can see how those medicines would work well together.

Conclusion

Most of the reasons that people give for choosing capsules will boil down to one of these four reasons. In the end, a lot of people are used to taking their medicines in pill form, and this allows them to keep those old habits. Whatever your reasons for considering this form of CBD, we hope that our article has answered all of your most important questions.
