The Reason For The Extra Hole in Your Trainers!

The Reason For The Extra Hole in Your Trainers!

I’d never thought to ask “what’s the reason for the extra hole in your trainers?” before. I just didn’t really use it.

Times have changed though….!

I first saw this video doing the rounds on Facebook a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a genius tip and needed to be shared!

As someone who spends more than 90% of his working life in trainers (personal training in Brogues just wouldn’t be practical), I can benefit from this. I hadn’t ever heard of it or seen it before, but I’ve now adjusted my trainers to make them fit better.

If you are a runner or spend a lot of time in your trainers, give it a go. It really does make your shoes fit more securely.

Wobbly, ill-fitting trainers may now be a thing of the past for you!

  1. I tried this when I tied my trainers up for the Edinburgh Marathon last Sunday, and if anything I tied them too tight. I almost stopped to loosen the right shoe at one point – but I was afraid that I wouldn’t get back up again.

  2. Ha ha! I’ve done a similar thing when it comes to tightening my bike shoes – given myself foot cramp!

This way of lacing your trainers really helps though, especially given we work in them all day!
