4 Tips for Boosting Your Workout Endurance

If you have ever found yourself out of breath by simply walking up the stairs, you are not alone. Whether you enjoy long walks a few times a week, or you have a passion for running, endurance plays a big part of these fitness routines. However, you may be wondering how you can increase your stamina and endurance. It is not enough to simply work out; you need to focus on increasing your stamina to increase the amount of oxygen that flows through your body. This, in turn, boosts your ability to exercise for longer periods. If you aren’t sure where to start, here are some tips that can help.  

Instead of Cardio Days and Strength Days, Combine the Two

It stands to reason that the more you work your muscles, the more your heart and cardiovascular system will be challenged. So, rather than sticking to separate strength days and cardio days, it is a better idea to combine the two. For example, you could devise a routine that allows you to perform exercises like pull ups and bench presses, follows by a mile long sprint. Alternatively, you could try using a jump rope for one minute, and then follow this with sit ups and squats.

Reduce Your Rest Times

It is normal to give yourself a rest of 60-90 seconds between sets, but if you want to increase your endurance, you are going to have to keep this to a minimum. Experienced trainers suggest that after your sets, you should have worked up a sweat, and your muscles should be feeling the burn. They recommend only taking a break if you feel as though you cannot physically continue. Instead of one set and a rest period, try three sets back-to-back.

Try Using Supplements

Using supplements to increase your endurance is another tip you can try. For example, Mitragyna Speciosa, also known as Kratom, is an herbal supplement that can increase your energy levels and help you train for longer. As well as this, since Kratom improves blood circulation, it is great for activities such as cardio, weightlifting, and running. Do Not Stick to a Routine

Instead, switching up your routine each time is crucial. It has been suggested that your body will get used to a workout if you keep it the same for two weeks. So, if you always head to the exercise bikes and cycle for an hour, try running on the treadmill instead, and vice versa. Your muscles need to be moved in different ways, so you could also try hybrid exercises. This helps to keep your mind guessing too; for example, a lunge with a bicep curl or a jumping pull up are great examples of moves that will get more muscles moving. This, in turn, will stimulate your heart muscle and improve your stamina.
