Detox diets are currently all the rage, and with all these trending health fads, it’s hard to know what works, and what will eventually be debunked by nutritionists. We’ve seen the celery juice challenge, the detox smoothies, and everything in between that quickly died. With that said, more and more people are exploring herbal teas as a natural detox method, while recent anecdotal evidence suggests that they may be effective in aiding your body to lose weight and flush out toxins. One of the many reported benefits of drinking detox tea on a regular basis is rapid weight loss. Of course, teas only help you lose weight, so they must be consumed alongside a healthy diet and an active lifestyle. Many of today’s commercial tea brands falsely claim to burn extra fat, so it can be challenging when you pick from a wide variety. May Disrupt Your Sleep 

Most detox teas will have to be consumed several times throughout the day. Individuals will want to space out their tea intake to get the best out of it, but this will also mean consuming tea in the late evenings. Because all kinds of herbal teas contain caffeine, this may affect the quality of your sleep. You may feel the need to sleep less, but this eventually takes a toll on your energy levels after a few weeks. To avoid doing this, always consume your tea first thing in the morning after breakfast. Make another cup at lunch, and have your last cup at sundown. Try not to consume any more caffeine until your bedtime.
