I’ve recently been using NATURECAN Broad Spectrum CBD oil as part of my supplement routine. I’ve dabbled with various CBD products before, with various levels of success – some have been outstanding, others have been really quite poor.
In the case of NATURECAN, it has been the former (thankfully).
My use of CBD oil fluctuates depending on what is going on in my life – I see it as a big of a magic bullet of a supplement. I know it has been linked to a wide range of benefits, but fundamentally I use it as a sleep aid – it’s why I use it sporadically. For me, I don’t take a daily dose of it because I don’t want to develop a tolerance to it, getting to a point where I need more and more for it to have an effect.
At the moment, I’m up at around 5.20 every morning and I’m often not getting to sleep before 11pm (yes, I know that’s under-sleeping!) I can cope OK on this, but around every 3rd or 4th day, I’ll have a dose of the NATURECAN before bed and see a noticeable improvement in my sleeping. It’s almost like a ‘microwave sleep’ – it does the same job in less time!
That’s the interesting thing I find when I use CBD for sleeping – it doesn’t make me sleep longer, nor does it make me fall asleep quicker, but it makes my sleep more restorative. If I get 6 hours of sleep with CBD, it’s a better, deeper and higher quality 6 hours than it would be without the CBD.
Does taking CBD oil work?
Despite popular opinion from some ‘controversial’ bloggers, I am in the camp that says yes, it does. I don’t take it for a laugh, I take it because it works. CBD isn’t a magic cure that will help every ailment under the sun, but it will certainly help a lot of common issues. As I’ve mentioned, I use it for sleep. When it comes to anxiety, pain relief etc, I don’t know – I don’t suffer from those issues, so I can’t say with certainty if it’s helpful for those.
The quality and effectiveness of a CBD oil seems to (in my experience) come down to 2 things…
- The quality of the oil
- The dosage in the bottle
In the NAURECAN case, you can see from their website that they’ve taken every step to ensure the oil is of the highest quality. It is grown under strict conditions in the US and undergoes thorough testing. As a company, they’re members of Association for The Cannabinoid Industry (ACI) and the Centre for Medicinal Cannabis (CMC). This ensures their products are fully certified and regulated. They’re also a member of the European Industrial Hemp Association.
That’s the quality issue taken care of. Now onto dosage…
One of the criticisms of the CBD industry is that the dosage is rarely accurate, meaning products aren’t potent enough to have any effect. In this case, the oil is available in strengths ranging from 5% to 40%. I tested the 20% bottle, which retails at £99.99 and this is sufficiently strong enough for me, taken around every 3-5 days.
I weigh 95kg and have a dose of 5-6 drops, which apparently will deliver nearly 50mg of CBD (maximum recommended dose is 70mg apparently). I find this is enough to give my sleep the boost I need.
Of course dosage will depend on a number of factors – your size, needed use etc. Just to be clear, I’m not giving you the dose I use a prescription – it’s just what works for me. You take what you need and adjust up or down depending on your results.
What is the NATURECAN CBD oil like?
It’s really quite pleasant – it has the distinctive CBD oil taste, but it’s certainly not strong or overbearing. It’s actually really quite subtle. Administration is just like any other CBD oil – a few drops help under the tongue for a minute before swallowing. No drama, easy to do and doesn’t repeat on you all day like some of the cheaper CBD oils that are out on the market.
I’ve found it helps boost the quality and depth of my sleep, which is exactly why I take it.
Where to buy NATURECAN CBD oil
