By definition, personal training is employing a suitably qualified and experienced trainer to take care of your fitness training needs. By employing a personal trainer you are removing the trial and error approach from your exercise, ensuring that you reach your pre-determined goals in the shortest time possible. A good personal trainer will ensure that all exercises are executed correctly and safely, putting your safety above other considerations.

Why Should I pick you?

My approach is complete. Rather than focus solely on your training, I look at all aspects of your health and wellbeing. As your personal trainer I will provide you with a training plan, diet plan and recovery plan, ensuring you are well-trained, well-fed and well-rested. The plan is to improve your quality of life, not have you walk around in agony and starving, resenting the day you decided to get fit. A sensible plan doesn’t involve rabbit-food diets and twice-daily exercise sessions.

What Should I expect from my sessions?

The initial session is the analysis – from here we will take starting body statistics such as weight, blood pressure, body fat, circumferences etc, and will outline a set of short, medium and long term goals. We will also discuss the type of exercise you enjoy, and begin a diet plan in line with your fitness and physique aspirations. During the initial session I will assess your physical capabilities and design a longer-term plan based around your starting levels.

Once the plan is established, training sessions will be fun, high-intensity exercise that will have you reaching goals you never thought possible. Your fitness will improve faster than ever before, and new goals will be established as and when you reach your targets. Personal training is about making sure you get the results you pay for, so you will be worked to your limits every session. You will try new exercises, re-invent old ones and work in ways you never expected to!

How are the sessions run?

Primarily the sessions will be indoors, utilising both gym and studio equipment.  On occasion though, we will venture into the big, wide world for a change of scenery and even more variety! Every session will be different to ensure motivation remains high and boredom is kept at bay! All sessions are based around exercises you enjoy, so if you hate a particular exercise you will never have to do it. Each session lasts for 1 hour.

What does it cost?
Many people wrongly assume that personal training is expensive – it needn’t be. You don’t have to employ a personal trainer EVERY session. Many people see their personal trainer once per week, once per fortnight or even once per month for top-up sessions. Given a single night on the town can cost well over £100, it is a small price to pay for excellent health!

You should use a personal trainer as and when you can afford one – not many people have money to spend on a trainer every session, but once per week is infinitely better than getting bored and going through the motions on your own in the gym, probably with a poor routine and no motivation.

The cost varies according to a number of factors…

• £25 Single Session
• £125 6 Sessions (buy 5, get 1 free)
• £250 12 Sessions (buy 10, get 2 free)
• £40 2-Person Session (£20 each)

Group sessions can be held for a discounted rate, contact Steve for more information.

How Do I Book
