You say you want to gain size and get your fat levels down - to be honest, Matthew you are going to struggle to do both at the same time. If you up your carbs slightly and keep lifting heavy and often, you will increase in size, andproviding you keep your clean and calories in check you won't put on too much fat.

How long you keep this up for is a matter of how much bigger you want to get. Keep an eye on your fat levels - they are thebest indicator of how your diet is going. Use the information to monitor and change your approach if necessary.

A 'clean' bulk takes longer, but it is better for you and leaves you with less fat to lose at the end of your bulk!

As you say though, ultimately your look will depend on your body fat - plenty of muscle is all well and good but if it is covered with a generous layer of fat then all the hard work is almost pointless!

Iv'e been weight traing properly for about 2 years now and i defiently got a good body at the moment, but i really want to gain a little more size i.e width of muscle but really want that "ripped" look, so the obvious anwser would be to get my fat levels down, i have cut sugars out of my diet completely, very low carbs and take alot of good suppliments. I would really like your opinion and advice on the whole toning to muscle building. Matthew Turner x
